Peppermint Green Tea Frappe

My constant visit to Starbucks Coffee store made me realized I’m not getting the healthiest drink that the store could offer on regular drinks.   Most of the drinks contain high calories and fats.  But recently, I found out how to have a healthy drink in SB.  Did you know that at SB, you can have the drink the way you want it?  And in its website, it has a calorie counter for every size you may order at the store.  So if you’re a health buff and wanna go and chill at SB, try visiting first the site for healthy drink options.

My favorite drink in SB is the Green Tea Cream Frappuccino.  I thought this is the healthiest drink since it is green tea anyway.  I was surprised to see the benefits I was getting when I checked it out.  The regular Green Tea Cream Frappuccino (tall size) has

The bigger the size the higher calories and fats the drink has.
How would I have better healthy benefits from my fave Green Tea Cream Frappuccino then? "One tall Green Tea Cream Frappe please with non-fat milk, no whip cream, no sweet syrup but replace it with peppermint syrup.", this is my order line nowadays.  So let’s check:

Green Tea has an aftertaste that some may find it offensive to their taste buds.  But with the fusion of peppermint, Peppermint Green Tea Frappuccino tastes so refreshing!

Guilt-Free Indulgence



What could ever be an indulgence that is guilt-free?  If you say indulgence, it’s somehow flouting to satisfy one’s wants or desire.  So what could ever be a guilt-free indulgence can you think of?  

To Starbucks, it’s their new product that I recently tasted.  Yes!  It’s called Guilt-Free Indulgence, a cake that makes you want for another slice.  Why so?  It’s sugar-free!  It’s a three layer cake of chocolate mousse (white to dark chocolate) with crushed Oreo cookies for the base that is so velvety.  The taste is so indulging that you may want for another slice.  It’s like Heaven on Earth but zero sugar.  And it's a perfect match for my Green Tea Cream Frappe.

Outrageous Cheesecake

Everytime I visit Starbucks store, there's always something new in their products.  My recent gustatory cells adventure was the Outrageous Cheesecake. What's with this cheesecake?  The name suggests a seemingly different kind of thing when it comes to Starbucks' other cheesecakes.  How outrageous would it taste really?

"One slice of Outrageous Cheesecake please."  I couldn't wait to taste it right away.  It was creamy cheesecake filled with bits of mangoes, blueberries and strawberries and topped with fruit compote combination of mangoes, blueberries and strawberries with white chocolate snowflakes.  Was the taste really outrageous?  Let's just say...If I would rate it from the scale of 5 stars and 5 is the highest, I would give 2.75 stars.  The fruity bits and compotes tasted artificial.  I didn't enjoy eating it.  But since, it's a bit expensive...I needed to finish the whole slice.

Chocolate Kreme Cake


Chocolate Kreme Cake is not a cake at all.  It's a doughnut from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.  It's a chocolate doughnut topped with white cream and oreo cookies.  I love the balance of its sweetness (doughnut and cream).  I like its soft texture.  It's not your ordinary doughnut at all.  Who cares about calories, when you can have a cheat day?!

Sausage Pizza Roll

My first try in tasting Starbucks' sausage pizza roll today.  When I ordered it, I was thinking that it would taste like real pizza with special pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese; but it wasn't.  My first bite was fine.  I liked the tender juicy frankfurter and the flaky crust of the roll.  But as I go on with my next bites, I just couldn't help myself trying to taste the "pizza" in it (as its name suggested).  All I could taste were the sausage and the buttery crust.  Well, I could taste a little cheese in it, but I was not really satisfied.  Good thing the sausage tasted really good, otherwise I would not finish it.

Mango Yogurt Cheesecake

I'm not into yogurt coz I find its taste weird and sour to my taste buds.  Anything with yogurt I can't eat much.  I like giving it a try but afterwards it always comes to disliking the taste.  I don't know why.

This afternoon when we visited Starbucks at The Block @SM North, there was this enticing cheesecake in the counter.  Looked so delish and mouth-watering.  But then when I checked what it is, I got a little disappointed coz it has yogurt in it - mango yogurt cheesecake.  Yet, I couldn't help myself and kept thinking should I taste this one?!  So I did.  I bought a slice together with my fave green tea cream frappe.

Guess what!?  I loved Mango Yogurt Cheesecake!  The texture, sweetness and sourness, crunchiness of the toppings, and the soft velvety center were all perfectly put in harmony that satisfied my gustatory (taste) cells.  I didn't even remember that it has yogurt in it.  But I just wish that there is more mango in it.

Cold Stone Dark Chocolate


Anything chocolate would always give satisfaction to me.  And I found a new way to indulge myself with dark chocolate.

Have you ever tasted any product of Cold Stone Creamery?  Yesterday, I got the chance to taste one of its products for the first time.  My daughter and I ordered for dark chocolate.  We opted to keep it simple.  No wafer, no extra toppings.  Just simple plain dark chocolate.  Yes, I must admit, I couldn't afford any extras actually.  CSC's products are a bit costly.

CSC's dark chocolate ice cream is indeed creamy but too sweet for my taste.  Should I try it again?  Yes, of course! :)

Ratatouille & Mozzarella Cheese on Multi-Grain Bun

Ratatouille, a word I just learned from a movie.  Now, it's one of the best seller sandwiches of Starbucks.  It's a vegetarian sandwich that has everything you need for the day. Crusty warm artisan multigrain bread stuffed with a delicious blend of cheese, spinach, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, portobello and shiitake mushrooms, garlic and onions.  I'm a meat lover; but when I tasted Ratatouille & Mozzarella Cheese, I keep coming back at Starbucks.

Seafood In A Bag

Seafood in a bag? Yes! Assorted seafood like crabs, mussels, South Pacific clams, fresh water prawns, shrimps, Manila clams, plus Andouille sausage, potatoes and corn, sealed in a food-grade plastic bag with added lemon, herbs & spices cooked in boiling water.  It made sense!  The flavors were locked and sealed in the bag, which made the meal more delectable.

Blueberry Cheesecakes

How many types of blueberry cheesecakes have you tried?  Do they taste alike?

Secret Recipe:  The best blueberry cheesecake I’ve ever tasted! Taste and texture are balance.  The sweetness and creaminess blend well.  I can have indulgence with this sweet creation anytime!

Conti’s:  I would crave for this even for my midnight snack.  It has sweet and light taste which I would like to be surprised by it in the middle of the night. 
Banapple:  Too overwhelming for my taste buds.  The cream overpowered the sweetness of the blueberry.  I could hardly finish a slice.


Cheesecake Etc.:  There’s a sour aftertaste that makes you forget the natural sweetness of the blueberry.
